Last month for our 1st wedding anniversary Jim and I visited The Doctor’s House Inn & Spa in Green’s Harbour, Newfoundland. The Doctor’s House Inn & Spa was built by Dr. Charlie Boddie, who enjoyed sculpting the beautiful Tudor-style mansion for close to 50 years. His wife and family actually lived in just a small part of the home while Dr. Boddie worked teadiously on sections of the house. Mrs. Dr. Boddie loved to garden and created beautiful and stunning spaces all over their 100 acres of land, nestled between trees and the ocean’s edge. She planted a large number of maple trees and flowering trees and shrubs that Newfoundland had never seen before. Soon enough The Doctor’s House Inn & Spa property was a tranquil destination for anyone looking to get away.

While visiting The Doctor’s House Inn & Spa, one of the owners graciously brought us for a tour of the property. We of course took this as an opportunity to photograph the beautiful grounds for our blog readers – especially those looking for wedding location. It is the ultimate romantic escape…

Newfoundland’s hidden jewel: The Doctor’s House Inn & Spa.
We highly recommend!
